Merkenveld has 30 ha of forest and meadow, all at your disposal during your camp. 10 ha of this area is meant for camping. This 10ha is divided into 17 camp fields, seperated from each other by bushes and trees, and connecting to 20 ha of play forest.
Near the camp fields, there is a sanitary block with safe drinking water. There are wash basins, toilets, and cold water showers. Warm water showers can be used in the main building. There is no electricity on the fields themselves. There is a room available with fridge and freezer, overthere you could also place your own device and charge your cell phones.
An outdoor kitchen can be reserved for the period that a group is camping at Merkenveld. In the outdoor kitchen everything is available to cook (electric cooker, refrigerator, sink and cooking material), crockery and cutlery have to be brought along. See also inventory under the attachments.
Campfire on the ground is only allowed at the campfire circle.
You can use fire barrels for free, which can be your campfire-barrel, but also your barbecue-set.
For our large groups of >100 persons, we have a seperate meadow of 3ha: 'Weide Marcel'. Comfort level is lower, as well as the rates: there is a reduction of 30% on the regular camping rate.

Practical info
17 camp fields, situated in a quiet and wooded environment. Belts of trees and bushes provide the necessary privacy for your group.
Walk away from your camp field, and you find yourself immediately in the middle of 20 hectares of play forest.
For our large groups of >100 persons, we have a seperate meadow of 3ha: 'Weide Marcel'. Comfort level is lower, as well as the rates: there is a reduction of 30% on the regular camping rate.Groups camping at Merkenveld usually do their own cooking. If you would prefer not to, please contact us, we will try to find a good solution.
Possibly, outdoor kitchen may be a good alternativ for you: there is an electric cooker, a fridge, a sink, and cooking materials. This kitchen is suited for groups up to 30 people.

There is no electricity on the fields themselves. There is a room available with fridge and freezer, overthere there are lockers, where you can charge your phone, etc. If you bring along a padlock, you can close the locker.
