About Hopper
Welcome at Hopper, strong brand for children and youngsters on the road.
HOPPER ™ is an initiative of Scouts and Gidsen Vlaanderen ® vzw, with shops offering anything one might need on a camp or hike, as well as youth centres customized for various groups of youngsters on the move
In our shops you find group and camping equipment, but also decent hike and play clothes, hiking booths, uniforms, and all kinds of outdoor assets. 4 shops spread across Flanders, and an online webshop open 24/7.
The youth centres offer buildings and camp sites for camps, weekends, forest classes, day activities, and formations. 7 centres are situated amidst green playing area, and 1 is near the city-centre of Antwerp.
Inspired by scouting, Hopper is immersed by the qualities that are so highly appreciated by our “Generation now!” In tune with the youth movement, Hopper commits to fairtrade, to biological and local products. Sustainability and security are our second nature in the society nowadays, on the road with young people full of crazy ideas.

Quality
Hopper Shops aim to offer the best price-quality ratio for all its products. Materlal that can withstand heavy handling, tested and approved for scouting games.
Clothes to wear for a meeting, on a camp, in the city, easy washable and repairable, … and maybe to pass on to brothers and sister.
At the Hopper Youth Centres we offer a quality place to stay. With the necessary utilities, amenities and support where needed. Places for camping, staying and meeting, outdoors or indoors.
We offer quality products and service guaranteeing a long-term scoutesque use.
Safety
Safety is a very important criterium at the choice of our collection. Solid equipment, safe in use. Knives with blocking function, a saw with hand protection, shoes with solid grip, rope with high tensile strength, clothes and back packs with fluorezscent accents for a better visibility in traffic, ...
Our product specialists, our testing team, the thousands of scouts members, and our Team Techniques advice us and test our products. Only safe and scoutsproof equipments makes it to our shelves.

As a sustainable organisation, we operate in a socially responsable way, in due respect for man and nature. With our commerce, we want to keep the least possible damaging impact on the environment.

Hopper commits to enlarge the number of products that are manufactured under fair labour conditions. We only cooperate with suppliers that guarantee to create human labour conditions for their employees, and to ban child labour.

We strive for our productions to take place the closest possible to the consumer. Local pioneer wood, tables of locally cultivated wood, domestic production of ties and towels, textile productions in Belgium, Europe or North Africa, Belgian tents, …
Short distance transport routes guarantee less polution. We support local commerce and employment.
Our attention for quality and soundness guarantees long term use and enjoyment, often for many generations.
